Baptism is one if two sacraments practiced in the Church of Scotland, the other being Communion or the Lord's Supper
Baptism is generally administered to infants and children, but also to adults. It signifies the beginning of a journey taken by the baptised person with his or her parents, the congregation and especially with God. It is a journey that begins by saying "yes" to Christ's invitation to become a disciple (follower), and leads onward to an ever deeper knowledge and experience of what it means to know Him as Saviour. It is a life- changing adventure.
Those interested to receive the sacrament of baptism at cadzow Parish Church will be invited to meet with the minister for a time of pre-baptismal preparation.
